Abestos Lead Paint Testing

ProScience Analytical Services, Inc. provides analytical testing of air, water, soil, sediment, sludge, paint, and wipes in support of a diverse group of activities which include ground-water, remediation investigations, underground storage tank removals, lead and asbestos abatements and monitoring. ProScience's capabilities include metals analyses, general chemistry analyses, optical asbestos analysis and electron microscopy asbestos analysis. ProScience commits itself firmly to the production of legally defensible data of known quality through the use of analytical methods that are accurate, reliable and complete. To ensure the production of such data, ProScience utilizes a comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Program that extends throughout the organization as part of its daily operation. The methodology employed at ProScience meets or exceeds all agencies' requirements for which the laboratory is certified. ProScience's Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manual describes the procedures used to ensure the generation of high quality data. A copy of this manual can be reviewed at our location at any time upon request.

Facilities

ProScience was founded in 1996 and is located at 22 Cummings Park, Woburn, Massachusetts. The facility consists of appoximately 5,000 square feet of laboratory and office space. Included are separate areas for sample preparation, metals analysis, optical asbestos analysis and electron microscopy asbestos analysis. The analytical instruments are modern and well maintained. The laboratory is designed for smooth and efficient sample flow ensuring expedient turnaround of any type of sample. The laboratory's strict adherence to EPA and NVLAP protocols result in superior contamination control and sample tracking.

Safety Procedures

ProScience's safety plans and procedures have been developed and implemented in accordance with applicable OSHA requirements. Safety training includes the following topics: Material Safety Data Sheets, general safety practices, medical insurance, handling hazardous waste, emergency equipment and fire and spill contingencies. Insurance: ProScience maintains Worker's Compensation Insurance, Employer's Liability Insurance and Comprehensive General Liability Insurance

Performance Evaluation

ProScience participates in The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) water pollution (WP) and water supply (WS) profiency programs, The National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) proficiency testing, The Environmental Lead Profiency Analytical Testing (ELPAT) proficiency program, The New York Department of Health Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing Program (PAT). All of the above agencies regularly send proficiency samples which need to be analyzed and passed by the laboratory as part of maintaining it's certification.
